Pinkglow Pineapple

Have you ever wondered where Pinkglow® pineapples come from?

These special pineapples are grown on a farm in the South-Central region of Costa Rica, where the climate and soil are perfect for their growth. And if you're wondering whether you can find them anywhere else, Fresh Del Monte is the only company that grows this unique pink variety.

But what makes Pinkglow® so different from regular pineapples?

Aside from their beautiful pink color, Pinkglow® pineapples have a unique and delicious taste with notes of candy pineapple aromatics. They're also less sour than traditional pineapples and juicier and sweeter in taste.

Curious about how they're grown and harvested?

Pineapple crowns are planted in the ground, allowing new pineapples to grow. And if you're wondering why you don't see a crown on your Pinkglow® pineapple, it's because they're harvested by hand, and the crown needs to be planted to regenerate new pineapple crops.

But why are they pink?

Pinkglow® contains lycopene, a natural pigment that gives some produce its red color (like tomatoes and watermelon).

How to properly store your Pinkglow® Pineapple and maximize its shelf life?

As for storage, it's best to eat Pinkglow® pineapples shortly after purchase, but if you need to store it for a few days, the longevity depends on whether it's whole or cut, and how it's stored. For maximum freshness, we recommend storing your Pinkglow® pineapple according to guide. You can even freeze it for smoothies and recipes later on.
